is it a comedy?

(um, clearing something up, you said "no magic" before, is there anything supernatural?)

Is it Vampire Hunter D?
(sorry, it's the only question I can ask.)

Does it have a good fortune?

do any of the main characters spend much of their time in SD mode? :)

btw, cool new icon maigochan... wonder when mine would kick in. The bright purple eva-01 gets on your nerves after a while.. *chuckle*

does it involve cops/detectives on a regular basis, as main or supporting characters?

it's new icon version maigochan! (maybe i should have brightened it up a little .. ah well.)

and now to business:

it is not a comedy.

it's 99.5% non-supernatural. the .5% is merely a hedge on the part of your host.

it is not vampire hunter d.

i'm unable to determine its fortune, but i'm sensing excellent fortune surrounding all of you.

no SD mode.

there might be some peripheral cops/detectives, but i wouldn't expect them to have much dialogue (or indeed, lifespan).

was the DVD released to the US audience in this millenium (let's define this as 2000 and beyond for the sake of simplicity - I know I know.. 2001...)?

I don't know maigochan, the dark icon looks better I think. A bit more edginess to the character... whoever it is...

Is it slightly racy?

Is it anime, vegetable or mineral?

No, seriously... does music play a big role in this series' plots?

let's see ...

of course GC has a copy--we've even got some in stock, i think.

it DOES involve assassins.

the US release was post-millenial, no matter how you define it.

it's not all *that* racy, considering the female-heavy cast.

there's one piece of music that plays a key role in the plot. and the soundtrack on the whole is good.

oh good--it's hard to maintain your edge when you're surrounded by a bright green halo. (the character's from witch hunter robin, a very cool series that's just been licensed for US release, so someday it'll make its way to greencine ... someday.)

what do you like about Witch Hunter Robin? I haven't seen the series, but I've read some about it, and the music just ROCKS!! :-) I'll put it in my Rockin' soundtracks list when we finally get a copy... someday.

oh, and I think I know what title you're thinking of, but i'm not gonna answer. I hosted with wdrazo one turn ago. And someone else should take the lime light and think up some obscure Scandanavian title for the next round. :-)

And I'm here to obfuscate matters.

it's just one of those series that has everything going for it--good animation, good characters, good story (and good music--i love the opening sequence). dark without being too cynical, keeps you guessing without being too vague or annoying about it. i guess when we get our copy i'll race you to review it ..
