You rent some David Lynch, Takashi Miike and Ed Wood movies and your postman starts giving you strange looks.

Dang, I should have applied to the post office!

I just got another job, where I'll work nights once training is over, so believe me, GC and NF are more important to me than before, when I could rely on the local art houses trying to out-free show each other, and my film festival membership getting me into other screenings :\

Also looks like you are all pushing for me to get the 8-out plan, which I mentioned several days ago :) Don't think so, anytime soon. I'm still going to be poor for a while.

On the other hand, if anyone in the Dallas area wants to nominate me as the local GC mailing pool, I'll be happy to let GC priority/express mail a box of DVDs at a time, and notify you to come collect them after I check for playability :)

You start having your GreenCine discs set to a P.O. Box and your postman stops talking to you.

...when GC mails you 5 discs on Friday, yet you get 1 Tuesday, 2 Wednesday, 1 Thursday, and 1 Friday...

...oh wait...this really happened this week! I knew they were watching my DVD's on the way back to GC, but they sure are getting cocky watching them before I get to!

That's funny. I think they must like my GC choices better than my NF choices, because I'll get the NFs and return them before the projected arrival date. On the other hand, I've also had two defective discs from NF since I started. :(

GC, let's just say... I got one today that was mailed the 8th. And I watched it. And sent it back this afternoon before the last pickup (5PM). The 8th is also the same day I sent in KOR, and... OH! YAY! GC just got it back, and is mailing me out the first Firefly. Hope they put it in that foam mailer, so there's enough air for it.... :)

Your DVDs typically take 3-4 days to make their way back to GC -- except for your adult rentals, which always take at least two weeks.

You'd think they'd copy those first, right?

Hey, GC, how come I can use the italic tag but not the emphasis tag? Italic is deprecated!

First off .. it doesnt help that you can actually read the name of the movie on the white sleeve the disc is in through the actual mailing envelope..is it possible for the GC shipping staff to simply insert the movie in sleeve the other way so that the name on the sleeve is facing the GREENCINE logo side(green side with the GC logo)..that way the name can't be read..the name would then appear underneath the black part of the GC logo.

just a thought.

This is true for me....oddly enough I get discs From GC in 2 days, but it takes 4 to get back to GC. Is this the answer?

Wow, you can read the disc title through two layers of mailer paper? My eyes aren't that good. Sending the disc back, though, through one layer of white paper, that's when I can see the title. So, from now on I will send back the discs with the title facing the GC logo side.

Thanks for the tip.
