Why do so many cat people use dog icons?

Ayato, if you're bored, you can answer a question I posted for you on the anime soundtrack thread!

Ah, can't we be both cat and dog people? I'm an animal lover!

Actually, my cat would make a cute icon, but I prefer u-dog. Anyway, I don't carry pictures of my cat in my wallet or anything...

you just carry the whole cat around with you. that's sensible.

I've got 2 cats, down from three. The semi-wild one that had been freeloading for over ten years disappeared right after Labor Day. No dogs or dog icons.

I had a dog. A Golden Retriever. She died, she died. Mom said she ran away. She lied, she lied.

Ah heck, you twisted my arm. Here's a picture of my cat, Dashiell Hammett. Please don't stalk him.

Hey, there's a pretty thread hanging here. I paw at it. It rocks back and forth, like a pendulem. I grab it, I bite it (taste like fabic softener). Okay, I run across the room and I will ponce on it! PONCE! Got it!

Cool, many hours of fun. And I am on topic for once!

On Bring Your Pet To Work Day a few years back, I brought one of my frogs to the office. Reactions were mixed. A coworker brought his dog (rottie/lab mix) but had to keep her in the parking lot (company policy).

I have two Siamese cats. They are really cool and talky, but not too noisy. This mother and daughter pair rule the catery. I am thinking about making the daughter my icon, but have been too lazy. {stretch and yawn.} Is the sun out yet? I need my Vitamin D.

For your consideration:

Best Performance by a Real Cat in a motion picture -

Cat's Eye
Pet Sematary

Any other nominees?

Milo in Milo and Otis. Though the dogs performance was better, naturally.

I don't like cats. They are to small and boney. Dogs are better. Especially Saint Bernards. If you cannot finish it, you can always ask the waiter for a Doggy bag.
