We get tons of great requests from our members (emailed to catalog @ greencine (dot)com), but, we can't pick up everything, but we'd love to get what you really REALLY want to see. Same goes for some new releases, too. I'll start posting them here so you can better tell us what you'd like to see most. Just hit the "request" button or chime in with a post, and we'll start picking some of these up. Here's a list to begin with and I'll have more of these up in the coming weeks. I've excluded requests that aren't yet available on DVD or OOP.

Out last week -
Long Knives Night / Reporting from a Rabbit Hutch - documentary on Alexander Lukashenko

From customer requests -
Road to Victory (sports drama)
Every Little Step (documentary about casting the musical Chorus Line)
You're Under Arrest Series: Fast and Furious (anime)
Yawara! The Fashionable Judo Girl (anime)
Middleman: The Complete Series
Queer Icon: The Cult of Bette Davis

Let us know if there's anything else you'd like us to put up for a vote as well. Vote away!

I was one of the people who requested "Middleman," so I'll just say that I'm still interested in renting that.

I put in a request to catalog@ a few days ago, but didn't get a response, so I'll post it here. I'd like to see Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths added to the catalog. Yeah, it's not highbrow stuff, I'm classy that way.

This is getting a simultaneous theatrical and on-demand release, so I don't know when the DVD is coming, but I'd really like to see this added:

8: The Mormon Proposition

Yawara would be really awesome! They only sell it as the complete box set. I just really can't bring myself to buy the whole series just to check it out. The series was actually more popular than Ranma 1/2 in Japan. Just never really caught on in the US.

Interesting, I knew a lot of Ranma 1/2 fans. We've put this up for request for now, will let you know when we get this one in:

I've heard good things about Rare Exports, a Finnish horror/x-mas film.

Rare Exports is crazy! It's also just playing theatrically right now. DVD to come in 2011. More then, then.

Will pass word on the Life on Mars request!

Creeeeeepy. Weirdly, also playing at a local community theater I've never even been to. Might go see it this evening. What is really weird is what else they're showing: Metropolis, The Fountain, 2 hours of 'Christmas slashers' and Christmas on Mars. I may have to pay more attention to this theater.

Think I suspect--for better or for worse--that I may have been one of the ones to propose this "requests by consensus" idea (honestly, largely because--call me a prick--every time I see someone requesting something like a Special Edition of "Underworld," or most Martin Lawrence-type movies, I kinda have to wonder what they're doing renting here in the first place), I will list a few of the titles that I had mentioned. Yes, I'm afraid they're somewhat lowbrow compared to some of yours:

* Attack of the Crab Monsters (1957, Roger Corman)
* Directed By Allen Smithee (2000 doc)
* Ed & His Dead Mother (1993)
* The Films of Suzann Pitt
* Forced Entry (1974)
* Grace (2009, horror)
* Homegrown (1998)
* Lilya-4-Ever (2002)
* Murder Party (2007)
* Sleep Dealer
* Smash Cut
* Tales From The Hood (1995, Rusty Cundieff)
* Terror of Tiny Town (1938 cult "little person" western)
* The Thrill Killers (1965, Ray Dennis Steckler)
* Trouble Every Day (2002)
* The War Game/Culloden (Peter Watkins)
* We're Going To Eat You (1980 "grindhouse" style zombie flick)

Feel free to chime in/judge...

Oops, meant "since" instead of "think" to be the first word of that last posting.... for what it's worth, might I also again propose--since I suspect that some of our requests COULD be out-of-print, since GC has the customer-friendly advantage of pointing that out on titles (instead of some other places where they'll appear without warning as green "Save"s), might I also propose that if this service ever DOES implement a "streaming"/instant viewing feature, we start with all the OOP titles?

Anyway thanks for allowing me to soapbox/bend your ears again... :)

I can chime in on Lilya 4-Ever (great one btw), and say frustratingly it has never been available as a legit R1 dvd release. There were a couple of imports floating around briefly that we were trying to get a hold of. If we do, we'll let you know! Otherwise we're just hoping they get their act together and get it on DVD.

And yes, it's definitely a good idea to work towards getting OOP films on demand when we do that, because that will really fill a niche.

We're checking on the others -- thanks!
