That is just very depressing.
The things we take for granted...

This is so sad. It must have been a more serious tumble than generally reported, because they asked if she needed a doctor. People fall down skiing all the time, and you generally don't have people offering to get medical assistance.

RIP David Carradine :( Wasn't familiar with his older material, but damn was he good in the Kill Bill movies. It feels like we lost a real cowboy.

| Michael Jackson - hope you are moonwalking like a G into the afterlife. Only to resurrect later as a Zombie like a true thriller! |

We should also probably mention Farrah Fawcett.
I just recently watched Logan's Run again. Not one of her better roles, I'm afraid.
Michael Jackson had the best selling album of all time and Farrah had the best selling poster of all time. |

Karl Malden 1912 - 2009
Wow, I didn't know that there were Karl Malden easter eggs. His real name was Mladen Sekulovich and he often tried to have that name used in his movies and TV shows. Check out his wikipedia entry for more info. |

| Wow, John Hughes dies, and Molly Ringwald has twins. It's the circle of life. |

I didn't hear of that last bit of news... wow, what an odd coincidence. RIP John Hughs, I never saw Sweet 16 until very much after I turned 16. I always seem to watch those "coming of age" flicks too late. Nonetheless, a funny and touching flick, as were all his movies. |

Found this link via another film site, but a wonderfully befitting remembrance of John Huges .

ADV Films is gone, as of Sept. 1.
Matt Greenfield has been one I have admired for a long time, an otaku who build this company with others, but it has gone bad the last few years. Houston, Texas was the home of a some of the best of the English dub artists and now, I guess they be moving to Fort Worth (home of Funimation).
A whole studio of people who loved anime has died. Too much artistry and not enough business sense, I guess. |

Henry Gibson, age 73.
It was always a pleasure to see him pop up in a movie. |

I loved Henry Gibson. I agree, he was always a pleasure. Even when playing a Nazi in Blues Brothers!
From Nashville: "Y'all take it easy now. This isn't Dallas, it's Nashville! They can't do this to us here in Nashville! Let's show them what we're made of. Come on everybody, sing! Somebody, sing!"
