They are with a driver who unknowingly takes them to the middle of the Sahara where they get stuck. A "Lord of the Flies" system gradually takes hold. I also remember Hamlet being performed by the poor folk as a way to maintain civilization.

Anybody remember what this movie is called?

Ah hah!

The King is Alive, a Dogme 95 film.

We should really restart a new thread where people ask for help locating movie titles... Anyone want to start one?

I still want to know if we were right or wrong about "Back to the Future". In this case, you are obviously right about it (even if it was King Lear rather than Hamlet) but I could still be dead wrong about Back to the Future. But it's the difference of the remembered scenes but with the same overing arch that makes my suspect I'm right.

Be nice to have a follow-up. If this is the right film could max post and let us know? Did Doozer ever hear if "Back to the Future" was or wasn't the right film.

This is the thanks we get! ;-)

Well, I guess we could always email him.

Btw, I started a new thread as a repository for all these sorts of questions/stumpers. The SemiOfficial Help! Looking for the Name of a Movie thread.
