Hey, anyone seen any of those Planetes bonus disks? What's on them? Are they worth renting (and waiting months for)?
And by the way, GC, maybe these are out of print already but every disk in the series is low availability, even the disks that have been out for a while, so maybe this suggests it's popular enough to get another set? It's actually an excellent show.

I looks like some your fellow members have been holding on to some of those "Planetes" discs for quite a while. We're very sorry for the delay. We'll do our best to add some more copies into circultion.
The this series is a bit strange. Bandai released the volumes 1-3 with bonus discs but volumes 4-6 without. The bonus discs for volumes 1-3 are all available and in stock.
On a side note, Bandai has just announced the release of Planetes Complete Collection which has all 6 volumes (single discs).

| The space shuttle could have used the help of Debris Section on that last mission. |

Thanks for the quick response, RAJ.
I think this one is a sleeper and hopefully will become more popular. The opening and closing music is terrible, unfortunately, but once it gets going it's a refreshingly realistic and surprisingly effective drama. Really well done.
Cinenaut, it was because you said you were watching it that I finally gave the series a try. |

Oh, then I'm glad you like it! It's the best sci-fi anime I've seen so far.

I finally finished Planetes. What a great series!
The manager who's into party favors is a bit annoying, but Planetes is a great combination of hard science fiction and political thriller, with the usual relationship stuff thrown in for good measure.
It's also very moving and the characters have some tough decisions to make by the end of the series.
I have no idea what anime I'm going to watch next. |

| If you're sticking to DVDs, Gankutsuou. I'm also a fan of Princess Tutu, but ahogue couldn't get into that one... |

God, no kidding. Some of the humor's a bit weak I must say. I think I still have a disc to go.

I've been mostly watching dreck lately, I'm afraid. I did like the first few episodes of Gankutsuo and intend to finish it one day. |

Oh, is Honey and Clover on dvd yet? That one seems really good, if you like soap operas. |
