Hey everybody, I'm alive.
It took me a while, but I'm finally back.
What did you miss?
I moved to Georgia, got a job, got engaged and very happy, and am partially re-watching some of the good series of the past with my fiancee (thus I won't need to be renting as much, but we decided that there's reason enough to rent some). She's fallen in love with Spike from Cowboy Bebop... she was nearly inconsolable at the end of the show. I had told her it had a good ending, which in my opinion it did, but she understood that to mean a "happy" ending.....

I'm on the other side of the country now, so I can join the super-awesome "East Coast" club here. haha!
Speaking of east coast, it was nearly 70 degrees today, aparently. There's an element of culture shock, but the weather is more surprising than anything to me.

Not really much to say, just saying hi after a long time. It's good to be back! (I hope!)

Jross!

Pleased to hear your transition went well, and congratulations to you on your engagement! That is quite good news, and well worth suffering through a Georgia Summer of crippling heat and unbearable humidity (You're going to "love" it); I don't envy you in that regard, that and the culture shock of moving to another coast. Enjoy America: East. And, if Zim's taught me nothing else than this: Doom isn't always bad and can be rather funny, but I imagine that has much to do with who's on the receiving end of said Doom and whether or not you have a demented side-kick in a dog-suit by your side. Also, good call on getting the future Mrs. into anime; kudos!

Glad to have you back.

Ursus "Porch-Monkey-4-Life" (I'm taking it back!)

My in-laws moved to Georgia 12 years ago or so, so I've had the opportunity to visit them in all sorts of weather. 70 last Thanksgiving was nice. But the summers really are awful. And one year when we were down for Christmas, it "snowed". The whole state shut down over 1/2", which had melted by noon anyway. But my in-laws do seem to enjoy it over the Chicago winters. I say it's a nice place to visit.

Way to cheer the guy up, Yowanda!

Welcome "back" jross.... none of this is big news for those of us on facebook....

There are some new fansubs but as a bunch it's not been a promising season....

I know, it's tragic. I'm hoping this spring brings a revival. On the plus side, I've been able to catch up with some other series that kind of got ignored for a long time. I'm just about done with the last season of Tsubasa (never quite became as good as I'd hoped it would) and am finally finally watching Blood+ (which I started but was distracted from). Eventually I'll watch the second season (eps 52+) of You're under Arrest and the second season of School Rumble....

There's the anime of Lovely Complex coming out in April which may be good. I know a lot of fans of the manga.

There's also a Romeo and Juliet anime based on the original work.

And a bunch more stuff that I haven't looked through completely yet but someone took down the page I found that listed them all. argh.

It should come as no surprise that when someone (or something) comes back from the dead, my appearance is no coincidence.

Welcome back, quirky jross3, if it is you...

Awfully quiet? I'm sure underdog would say it's been pleasantly calm and peaceful...

That's right, pick on poor defenseless underdog. :-P He's always toeing the party line.

Anyhoo, sorry, I was too busy making polls. What'd I miss?

Oh, you know I was just trying to draw you out of your polar Doghouse of Solitude... after 3 years I know which Pavlovian cues you might respond to!
;-)

Besides, you haven't been away long enough to miss very MUCH, considering how AWFULLY quiet it's been. Sonja showed up. That made things kinda interesting for a nanosecond or two...
