Wow. Ive become nostalgic.
It has occurred to me that I have not posted a top ten list! But thats because I was a n00b back then (a year ago)&ah, if only to watch these titles over again... Though I sorely believe that I have not seen enough anime to artfully construct a top ten: heres what I got so far:

Not in any particular order
1.) Fushigi Yuugi

3.) Marmalade Boy

5.) Fruits Basket
6.) Kino's Journey
7.) Scrapped Princess
8.) Ashiteruze Baby
9.) Sailor Moon (Sorry it was my gate way and I'll stand behind it firmly.)

(of course in that list somewhere should be Ranma 1/2 and Inuyasha but I officially renounced support of Rumiko Takahashi cause she's a filthy ^&$^!( !*&^@)( !%$%^!@ )($@)^&!%*@) !^(#!^*# that won't end her animes properly. ^^) |

I can't believe everything that didn't make it on here.... Akira, Metropolis, Kiki's Delivery Service, Ghost In the Shell movie, Perfect Blue, Ah My Goddess, Pretear, Cowboy Bebop, Maison Ikkoku, Escaflowne ... all great but didn't utterly steal my heart ... and EVA and Mahoromatic, which did, and then stepped on it.
It's really a list of Must See These Before You Croak But Once You See Them You'll Want To Live...

Thank you Afleming and Nlee for the shout out! You guys know I love you right. ^_^
I'm sooo hard to buy anime for now because the rest of my family (besides my brother) is not into it and so they don't keep track or ask about my already existing collection. In fact my sister detests anime. (My mom likes Boys over Flowers and Marmalade Boy though)
My parents got me Grave of the Fireflies with a receipt just in case I had it already. My sister refuses to buy me anime because she hates it so and my brother got me a flashlight from the 99 cent store because he thinks he's funny. ^_^ My boyfriend got me twelve kingdoms volume 8--which I'm excited about watching but I haven't seen volume seven and I can't freakin find it anywhere!!!

I've narrowed my choices down and now I'm debating on the few left! I'mma need a few more days. >_<

It probably a little late to reply to this but heres my top ten MUST SEE:
Neon Genesis Evangelion (I cant stress this one enough)
Princess Mononoke (any Miyazaki is great, tho)
Fullmetal Alchemist (not out yet, but check it on adultswim)
Wolf's Rain (I know, I'm a sucker for adultswim anime)
InuYasha (gotta love dogboy half demons)
Samurai X (Rurouni Kenshin is good too)
X (the series mostly but check out the movie too)
Cardcaptor Sakura (girly and kiddy but super entertaining)
Vision of Escaflowne (except for the ending, this is great)
Fruits Basket (sappy, sweet yet irresistible)

I still think it's a good list. But I might remove Trigun. I'd add Gankutsuou and Samurai Champloo. Then there's Ouran also. Wait, I need to think about this. Limiting it to ten would be hard now. Depends on whether we want to stick to the "classics". |
