I'm assuming these are some of the best parts? They should have teamed up with JibJab and used Obama, McCain, the Clintons and Bushes as the characters... then it might have been funny.... |

That looks more interesting. |

The animation looks... kind of cheap. Although so does South Park and that's been around for awhile. Hrmm. Hard to tell. Maybe if you're in the right mood or slightly tipsy.

I saw it at one of the many local film fests, and it is not without it's charm. Too much talent in there not to make it watchable. But I would have to say that in general it is a little week. Ken Russell sure has fun with his segment though.

I loved 30 Days of Night at the theater. It is the only horror film I have seen this year at the theater. Josh Hartnett is great as the Sheriff.
Wikipedia has an interesting dose of really, comparing the real Barrow, Alaska to the Hollywood version. I recommend reading AFTER you see this film. |

I saw Trapped Ashes at Toronto FF last year, and I really didn't care for it. Anthology flicks are a dicey roll at the best of times, but aside from the kooky wrap-around story, I found the flick pretty tiresome. (But yeah, the Russell is the best of the bunch, imo.)
Regarding Dead Fury, I like the director's first attempt (City of Rott) a little better. A fun little horror novelty that kinda runs out of steam.
Ooh, and I'm about to go update my GC list with a few new horror DVDs. (Hint: One has a big croc in it!) |
