I've read some very very bad reviews, but a coworker said he liked it (in a non kitschy way).

Personally I liked it but don't see it being a big cult classic because the concept has been around for a while. Donnie Darko on the otherhand..

I loved this movie.I think this movie got so many bad reviews because reviewers pre-judge the movie due to Ashton Kutcher being the star.It wasn't the greatest movie in the world, but it was definitely better than the director's last outing(Final Destination 2).There's a rumor floating around that there's a second, more disturbing ending to this movie that is going to be added onto the DVD.

It is hard for me to want to see it for that reason. I don't get a damn about who he sleeps with, I just really do not like the guy - in an "candid" interview or his acting.

apparently ashton cancelled all his promo interviews after the brutal reviews. i saw part of one he must have done before that, and he looked ever so despondent.

The movie was not really as bad as the critics made it out to be. I actually kinda liked it. I would give the movie 3 out of 5 stars. Not bad...not good...but somewhere in between.
There were some inconsistancies in the plot line. Basically, some fundamental issues regarding everything we have come to know about the space - time continuum. Other than that I think the movie was very enjoyable and had a great premise.

Definitely worth seeing. The critics were unfair with this movie. IMDB ratings have it at about a 7 and that's where I have it too.
Some scenes are a bit violent and disturbing, but it's the kind of movie you can talk about afterwards. I don't know if it'll be a cult classic (probably not), but I came out of that movie thinking it was surprisingly good.
Then again, I'm a total stranger to you, so take all of that with a grain-o-salt.
