Not sure what I expect from this one. I used to follow the comic a long time ago so I don't know how much they have expanded the origin story since then. I'm pretty sure the movie will take many liberties. I didn't recognize all the characters with powers on first sight. Gambit is in it, and. might be fun if he's done rightAnyone care to help identify?

Let's see... that's Liev Schreiber as Sabretooth. Dominic Monaghan (Lost, Lord of the RIngs) as Beak. The creepy-faced Kevin Durand (who was also on Lost) as Blob.
The others are listed on the imdb...
Ah, Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. (Which I'd never heard of.)
Looks pretty cool actually - ridiculous, but cool. Better cast than you'd expect.

Ah yes, I forgot to look on IMDB. I was hoping for some Alpha Flight action, but it doesn't look like it. I just looked up Wolverine's "biography" in Wikipedia while I was at it. Seems like they've added quite a bit since I read the comic. I hope someone write a decent script for this one!

Some of the X-Men cartoons featuring Wolverine are worth a watch, if you'd never seen them. Might be a bit of overlap with that film. They're pretty good, as I recall.
Like X-Men: The Legend of Wolverine. The X-Men Evolution cartoons are more uneven but some are worth checking out. |

It's an interesting choice to have Sabretooth look like Liev Shreiber, instead of a guy in Saberetooth make-up. It could work.

Is that a choice of the film or is that part of Sabertooth's history? That he started off more human looking?

Oh, good question. I have no idea.

I'm excited to see what comes out of this. I know David Benioff (who wrote 25th Hour) did the screenplay for this film. So here's hoping for the best! Even if it means another inevitable Halloween full of people in retard-o Wolverine costumes.
