I'm hearing bad news so far from the press about the bootleg and all, so just wanted to see what people think

well, as usual with movies I want to see, I'm avoiding as much press about it as I can. I did read that the FOX News guy who got fired for reviewing the bootleg download said it "surpassed expectations" , whatever that means. It'll be worth a matinee to me, so I'm going. But I am a former X-men fan boy so I'm pretty much obligated.

It has just gotta be better than X-Men 3, doesn't it?

Oh man I just groaned out loud thinking about the scene where Xavier disintegrates into thin air.

I'm not too excited for this one, but maybe if I read some of the comics I'd be more inclined. Is this flick supposed to be a riff off a bunch of books or just a few?

I wouldn't trust the reviews of the leaked screener - from the screen shots I saw it's very unfinished.

damn no editing function

I mean to say X-Men 3 was horrifyingly bad when you consider all of the original material they could have used to make an X-Men movie (Days of Future Past or Age of Apocalypse anyone?). So knowing how I feel about X-Men 3 now you know how bad I thought the bootleg was.

I had high hopes too...Gambit was in it for f***'s sake!

Isn't that bootleg sans special effects though? Maybe hard to tell how bad it is without FX filled in... but then again, maybe not.

Speaking of which:

Hugh Jackman Reacts to Wolverine Leak.

Don't blame him for being unhappy. I really don't think it's fair to judge a film if you're not seeing the finished version.

I'm still going to see it but I'm not going to rush out opening weekend. I may wait til I can use one of my free passes for it. I've seen prints of things sans special effects though and knew whether or not I liked the story/acting in the past so I'm not getting my hopes up for my mind being changed unfortunately.
