What were your favorite films of the year? I'm still trying to compile my own list to be posted on Jan 1. It's a tough year, a lot of great films, but few that are obviously flawless.
Still scrambling to see a few at the end of the year, too!

"Winter's Bone" is one. "Toy Story 3?" "Inception?" "The Kids Are Alright?" "The Ghost Writer?" "Mother?"
I haven't seen a lot of these last minute Oscar contenders like "Black Swan," "The Fighter," and "True Grit" yet.
I managed to completely miss "Let Me In." |

Let Me In wouldn't make my list but it was definitely better than I feared. I'm hoping to catch Black Swan and True Grit this weekend, too. Ghost Writer was great - what did you think of the crazy ending? I'm debating about having that on my top 15. (Bone is definitely on it.)
Does A Prophet count as a 2010 release? |

| Hmm, I don't think I can make a proper list until I've at least seen True Grit and Winter's Bone. As such, my habits of procrastination will probably mean no best of list from me until well into 2011. *slaps forehead* |

Winter's Bone def makes the list. So does Easy A and Get Him to the Greek; actually a good year for comedy. I'm not sure of Inception, I need to watch it again. I liked it quite a bit when I saw it the first time, though. Black Swan was quite good; Natalie Portman's acting actually surprised me. Never Let Me Go gets on the list for the disquiet in invoked. I thought about that movie for weeks.
Honorable mentions: Scott Pilgram vs. The World, Splice.
Worst movie I've seen this year, though it may have come out originally last year: I Can Do Bad All By Myself. I have to remind myself to never watch a Tyler Perry movie again. They ain't much to begin with, but after five on-screen musical performances...I never even finished it. Heh. Also, incredibly stupid characterization. Reminded me of all the horrible romance novels I read as a teenager. >_O |
