Any other Tintin fans excited about the movie finally coming out later this year? I mean Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson, a great voice cast, and they did it the way it needed to be done, which is CGI animation (I think as a live action movie it would look far goofier).
Anyway, there's finally a teaser trailer posted on the 'net. Check it out.
I was such a huge fan of those comic books when I was a kid, read them all several times. |

Oh, and here's the Official Site which also has a link to the trailer, and updates, etc.
The cast is quite fun: Daniel Craig: Red Rackham Simon Pegg: Inspector Thompson Nick Frost: Thomson Jamie Bell: Tintin Cary Elwes: Pilot Andy Serkis: Captain Haddock (perfect!) |

| That actually looks pretty good. I hope they resisted the urge to add fart jokes, winking pop culture references and whatnot. |

I know, me too. I have a feeling they did it the right way, from what I've been reading about it from the makers and the cast, but yeah until we actually see the whole thing, who knows. The casting's pretty spot on at least.

| Yeah, great cast! I was reading some blog that was expressing concerns about the uncanny valley effect, but I don't think that should be a problem with this. |

A bit too much pandering to 3D, but mostly enjoyable.
I was relieved to see that Captain Haddock was still an alcoholic. |
