Naw, not touchy at all-- we actually all loved DP's idea. My point was just, we aren't wanting to be relying on generous members donating their own time to various fixes. We'd rather just have the official search engine itself work as good as possible. And to alert y'all that we really are (honest and truly!) working on an improved version. We should be fixing our own problems! :-) Many thanks, though, we do love the ingenuity of our members.

nice try underdog! We're wise to your evil plans! You want dpowers' search engine all for your own! Then you can claim it was your idea all along! Usurper! Theif!

BUAHAHAHA! [cue sinister guffaw, er, pardon me, cue evil laughter] You're too smart for me! But it's too late! Buahah! Yes, that's right, I stole it, got a patent on it, and sold it to ClearChannelTimeWarnerAOLViacomDotCorp.

Hee!

not like the idea wasn't stolen in the first place - but hey! you patented it, you defend it in court!

Advanced Search feature suggestion:

Set the "date acquired by GC" as a search range.
This way you can simply browse what's been added since a certain date, by genre even.

That's much more powerful than the New To Greencine link (which in itself, is still nice)

This'd be great, as would be sorting by acquisition date in categories (I think that's already been suggested).

I'm still waiting for a 'inverse' searching feature so I can do a '-vol' search on the anime genre and get a list of all non-series anime.
