Since the "request list/button" feature was introduced, I've been adding movies to my request list. However, so far none of the movies in this list has actually become available. I wonder what's other people's experience with the "request" feature. Have you got any movies from your request list?

I've had 3-5 e-mails telling me that request list item was now available for rental.

My experience has been about the same.

i've had dozens but that may be because many of them went to the request list from my queue, where they had been red or unavailable. when they came back in stock, out went the emails.

Hmm... I had 3 titles that went from my queue to the request list when the feature was intruduced. They are still there...

Maybe I should mentioned that I have 32 titles in the queue and 13 titles in the request list. I guess other people have more :)

I have about 34 titles in my request list. Half are porn, the other half are kung-fu films. When the request feature came out a whole lot of the kung-fu films in my queue went right into the request list.

Hahaha, you dog, you naughty, naughty dog!

AReviewer, just to let you know, the request list is a relatively new feature and some of us are pleased that it actually works!

GreenCine introduced the "Request" button because we wanted a way to gauge exactly how many of our customers want to see an individual title. One or two requests for a title does not indicate that enough of our customers are interested. Generally, I start considering "Request" titles when a title has received 10 or more requests, and I try and order all of them before they receive 25 requests. There are a lot of factors involved including price and current availability of a title from our distributors, as well as how the title fits into the GreenCine profile. I personally order titles from the request list every week. I'm sorry if none of your titles have gotten ordered yet, but as more customers sign up with similar interests then that should change. By the way, the queue system really works best when you have 100 or more titles in your queue.

I've been loving the request list. About every other week I get an email telling me another requested film has become available and I smile and I laugh and I sing!

au contraire! Idle hands is also on my request list. It used to be in my queue, but when their copy broke or got lost, it was moved into my request list.

I can't believe that The Naked Gun (1988 and 1992) DVDs are now not available. Lucky me, still able to rent them a couple of months ago.

They generally move to requestable status. However, there are more than a few in the library that aren't requestable, either.

Maybe they should have a page where you can see the most requested films, where members can go and add their own votes for requested films... If no one knows that there are other people interested in "The Train" it would never get purchased, for lack of votes.
