Hey! What are you guys doing working on Independence Day? Didn't anyone tell you there's no mail today?

But I'm glad you're working anyway.

I'm done celebrating now... oooh, my arms hurt. (I had to carry a baby around the fairgrounds looking for his mother. Ooh, fun)
But my house is right next to the fairgrounds, so I get a great view for the fireworks show. You can get front-row seats that come with 3-d glasses (the refractive kind, not the red-blue kind), but I can sit on my roof for free.
I set off some home-made stuff, too. I think that with a few more years of trial-and-error, I'll be able to make some bottle rockets. Yeah, they're illegal in CA (probably illegal to make your own stuff to begin with...) but it's my right to disregard the law! Happy freedom day! Let's celebrate all the freedoms we enjoy - we can choose to pay our taxes, or we can choose to spend a week with the pain monster; we can choose which half of our brain our monitoring devices are implanted in; or, we can even choose to leave the planet! Yay, freedom!
(just kidding. too much Futurama, ha ha ha :-)

It was a good Fourth. Good barbecue, and that's the important thing :-P mmm, mmm.

Thanks! Some GCers had the day off, some (like me) just worked a bit in the morning, and others dutifully came in for inventory and disc receiving and such. It was a red, white, blue and green kind of day. Hope everyone had a good holiday!

(I caught up a bit on movies, seeing Batman Begins and Crash, appreciating both. Then dealt with the massive throngs of people along San Francisco's waterfront.)

Happy 5th everyone!

Hope all had a great weekend! I had to work on the fourth (grrr) but I am not complaining too much since it is my first holiday away from home so it was nice to keep myself busy at least.
Saw Batman Begins as well this weekend, have to say it was very satisfying indeed.

I was wondering, how did you get the mail delivered to Greencine on a holiday? Also, it doesn't seem to speed up my delivery. I still get the discs in the same amount of time as if they were mailed on Tuesday.

Thanks for the dedication anyways.
