Since postal rates are going up Jan. 8, Will Greencine put some extra postage on the movie envelopes? How much will it cost to mail the movie back after Jan. 8? Thanks.

This is a pretty good question. I was just starting to wonder about this myself. Is GC going to put the extra 3 cents on the return envelopes early so that we aren't going to have to worry about it? Chances are that things shipped out this coming week may not be shipped back until after the postage change. Or does it not matter since the only return address would be GC anyway, so they'll still have to pay the extra? But would that delay our return shipping if there's insufficent postage? My shipping's been bad enough with the holidays without postal rates mucking with it to. I hope someone will answer this question after the holidays.

Woof! Pant, pant...

Sorry, I didn't put enough postage on myself and was delayed coming back from holidays vacation. ;-) Anyway, hold on, I'm checking about this now....

Thanks. I've mailed back all my movies. So as long as the movies that were shipped out today have the extra postage, I should be OK.

Hi guys,

We're going to start sending out mailers with extra postage on them ASAP. We are making arrangements with the post office so that if you return envelopes with the $.60 stamp on them after Jan 8, they'll still honor these. They'll be charging our account for any extra postage that it needs. I'm trying to get assurance from the USPS that mail wont get delayed because of this. If you notice that mail is taking longer that expected, please contact support and explain your situation, they should be able to help you. I'll talk to our staff to make sure that they are aware of this issue as well.

Oh and the new rate is $.63.

Sincerely,
Giselle G.
