| I think subscribers living in the eastern time zone should get a slight discount because of the time it takes to receive selections. How about 4 DVDs for $21.95/month instead of 3 DVDs...just to help hurry things along. |

Oh, man, I've been a member here for over 3 years and I can't tell you how many times we've started discussion threads with variations on this. If you do a search in the FEEDBACK section you'll find dozens I'm sure. We've come up with some good ideas, too.
I think we've determined that it's not the actual distance from GreenCine that determines how fast a DVD is delivered. People on the West Coast receive DVDs later than some East Coasters, as a matter of fact. It depends on how the USPS post offices and shipping hubs inbetween work. If you live in a major metro area with a big airport you get your DVD in about 3 days, no matter where in the US you are. If you're in some remote area far from a major hub it takes a few more days, EVEN IF YOU'RE in California, Oregon or Washington.
The suggestion I made was for GC to track send/return times to get an idea which members live in "slow" zones. I suggested maybe these unfortunates get a "coupon" or something for an extra rental per month or something, but NOTHING was ever done about the problem, although underdog reported that people were "looking into it" and a solution "might be considered"...
You certainly have a knack for dredging up "old times" kingturtle! ^_^ |

Postage time to New York State is taking too long. I am considering canning Greencine.
Anyone know anything about QwikFliks or CafeDVD? |
