I see a Red bar on a title in my Queue that also has a 'for Sale'. What gives ??? Surely any title that gets to 'RED' status that you have available for sale should be automatically BOUGHT. Clearly there's a demand, and a chance that if you delay it may go 'OOP' (out of print) so why wait ?
While I accept that a red bar Out of Print title can never find its way to my home. So why not add a couple of extra bar symbols to your RED GREEN ORANGE collection. Say an empty box with OOP for titles that have gone out of print and some other symbol for missing titles. However I would argue that a missing title that is also listed as 'for sale' should also be replaced no later than a month after the first 'missing' status is posted. |

I don't see the automatic link. If you're the only person waiting to see a title, how do they recover their costs by buying another copy just for you to rent once? Also, are you sure the discs they can sell with consumer rights are always the same as those available to them with rental rights?

I don't see your logic either. If I'm the only person waiting, then it is unlikely to be a Red/Long wait. They either have a copy or not. If not then say so, and also state a reason for not replacing it (since it is For Sale!). As to your second point.. well they are renting the title in question, so what point are you making? |

Best thing to do in such cases is drop a note gently prodding us to check inventory titles for the disc in question. While we try to keep up with each title in low or zero quantities, we're only human - so drop a line to dvdrequest@greencine.com and you can cc corrections@greencine.com and we'll check for you. Which title are you referring to in particular here?
Thanks much! |
