I always check out the upcoming releases on Tuesdays when they are posted, so as to sign up relatively high on the list of renters. I noticed that several movies are in the catalog that, to my knowledge, have not been put in the new releases blog. Like:
The Incredible Hulk (Special Edition) (2008) Wall-E (Collector's Edition) (2008) Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (Special Edition) (2008) The Happening (2008) The Love Guru (2008)
Now most likely I just missed something, but just in case I didn't, is there a reason why they are added to the catalog but not put in the new releases blog? I didn't see them in the newly added to GC list either. Is it because they are the bigger Hollywood releases? Oh, I probably just missed it somewhere obvious, but clue me in anyway.I 'd like ot able to sign up for the movies I really want as soon as they are added to the catalog, in advance of their release. |

Those DVDs you mentioned are the typical favorite movies at Netflix/Blockbuster. The movie elitist here typically poop-poop on those kind of commercial successes, and focus on indie and other titles which the common people cannot appreicate.
Thank goodness GC still offer hentai animes. |

Yep, I was looking out for summer blockbuster crap, which I watch just as much of as the indie stuff. Inspired by the favorite summer movies of 2008 thread.
But I wanted add them to my queue promptly precisely because they are so popular. But I would think GC would add any and all movies to the new releases section, what would be the point of leaving them out? Iron Man was on the upcoming releases list briefly...so...?

Some of these are in there. They don't have pictures or descriptions but are linked at the bottom of each week's releases.

"Newly added" to GreenCine is a live feed of what's being added to inventory, so, you won't see many new releases there until closer to the release date.

For the best list of new and coming releases, check http://www.greencine.com/central/newondvd.

| ...Though there was a few minutes of debate in our office about the merits of acquiring "The Love Guru" ;-) we gave in pretty quickly. Hey, we have What Happens in Vegas..., so you should know we're not *that* snobby. Remember, you can always just search our catalog directly, too. |

Um... thanks? I think they were already in my queue. I think the point of my original post is being lost here |

| Ah - regarding the new and coming releases query that we update each week, there are a few titles that are being left out of the results of that which we're working on, so in those cases we had them as links to the bottom of the related pages on that list. If you still don't see 'em there let us know and we'll doublecheck and add if necessary. There's no editorial reason they'd be left off. Thanks for checking! |

| Oh I probably just missed them, I was just wondering if you left them off because they would prove popular no matter what. |
