| It's really nice to see the New to Greencine list being updated more frequently. |

Yay, us! Yah we fixed a couple things there to get that going again. Glad to know someone looks at those, at least. ;-)

| Yeah, I'm a fan. I look at both "New and Coming Releases" and "New to Greencine," just to get ideas for queue fodder. |

I can't stand the format of this section. I can't remember titles of films especially if they're not ones I'm familiar with/haven't seen yet.
I prefer the "coming soon" blog with title images and short description. Easier to remember if I've already seen it / added it to my queue. Clicking on each title in "new to gc" to check it out is waaaay too time consuming, very slow website. |

One reason I like this is that it has in the past shown not only actually new titles, but also restocked old titles. Sometimes I'll see a change in color bars in my queue based on what appears in that list.
The format is kind of basic. |

| ...and the other thing is that it is some kind of indication of signs of life at Greencine. :D |

I looked at the list of NEW titles GC posted and was excited to see they claimed to have replaced their copy of QUATERMASS 2 (which I've had on my queue for over 3 years--obviously they really didn't have it anymore but it's another case of them not updating their inventory).
I just got it in the mail today and, yes, it is that film...but it's not the original Anchor Bay release that the picture claims it is--it's a DVD-R re-release that omits the special features the first release had, specifically a commentary from the film's director.
Now I don't really object to GC getting an inferior disc of the film if that's all they could get...
BUT I DO OBJECT to them not updating their listing for the film and letting customers know that they're not going to be receiving the original release (whose box art is still shown for the film) and instead getting this latter, inferior release. "Truth in Advertising", and all that jazz, ya know. __________________________
TEN GREENS in my queue (that I want), then if I don't start receiving the other color titles that have been on there since GW Bush was President, I'm outta here.

| I just meant i've been trying to confirm for over a week now that I won't be charged come the end of my grace period if the remaining movies (that were returned a week ago) don't get checked back in.They took 100+ hours to respond last time and now I am again near hour 72 (they didn't answer my question so i had to re ask it). |

| I sure hope Greencine expedites your cancellation after seeing all your posts about it! Or maybe you should email them again. Squeaky wheel, and all that... |

This was the latest email from them:
"I'll remove both as potential losses early to ensure you're not charged."
They were removed but i won't be shocked to wake up on Monday and see a charge.
Quite sad if emails take > 100 hours to get a response, especially if a follow up is needed. Tempted to put a prepaid card on just for the sake of avoiding charge altogether.
This response time is giving me more reason (beyond the december shutdown and 20+ days this month with nothing) to not come back. |
