| Looks like there are new Greencine envelopes and a new return address? I hope the new system is nice and fast! |

Hi Cinenaut, yes! We have a new processing center in Irvine. The system is the same but we are optimistic that we will see improvements in shipping from this location. |

| The Greencine green is a little different on these new envelopes. |

The paper is also a lot thinner, and it has "DO NOT BEND" written on it! Was bending really a problem? You'd think common sense would prevail, but then I am constantly over-estimating people's capacity for it.

| Well, from my perspective, the new "do not bend" envelopes are off to a bad start. I just received my first broken DVD from Greencine. It's a copy of The Silence. Its' broken clean through on one side. My first clue was that the DVD player wouldn't even recognize it as a disc. |

| Well, I had a different "bad start". The disc was in fine condition, nearly perfect... problem is, wrong movie, not even in the same ballpark as what was supposed to arrive! Instead of a horror flick I got the Disc 2 bonus features of some documentary I'd never seen. I don't remember what it's called, I promptly shipped it back, but I'm wondering if someone else accidentally received my Pumpkinhead DVD. |

| I've also got a movie ("Asylum") that was sent on Oct. 28 and has never shown up. I emailed support about it. |

^I'm in the same boat. I've got a DVD shipped to me Oct. 27 that has yet to arrive. This doesn't bode well for the new processing center.
I sent support@greencine.com e-mails two days ago and yesterday, with no acknowledgement or reply (and yes I check spam filters). This is the worst thing about Greencine -- you have to expend such effort to get any customer service response. Anybody getting through? |

| I wonder what day the big switch between processing centers occurred? |

Customer service replied to my email, put "The Silence" back in my queue and removed "Asylum." Thanks, Paul!
Hopefully, there is more than one copy of "The Silence." |

Wow, you got through to customer service. Do you just send e-mails to support@greencine.com? I've sent daily e-mails since Sunday, with no response. I'm probably too surly.
It's now 13 days and waiting on one DVD, and 6 days on the other. I hope this isn't a problem with the new center. I've been quite happy with the whole delivery process with Greencine recently. |

| I ordered Giovannona, Long-Thigh (1973) which is a sex comedy but received an adult film called Skin on Skin. I sent a message to the support staff, so hopefully I can get the movie I requested. |

Hmmm...have to say I'm not impressed by the new envelopes. They're not thick and stiff enough to protect the disc at all. The old ones weren't perfect, but they were a damn sight better than these. A LOT stiffer. My rented DVD arrived today in one of the new envelopes which was flimsy, wrinkled, and torn, tho the disc was fine. I suggest if you continue with these envelopes you should go back to the cardboard sleeves before you lose too many discs to damage and have too many unhappy customers.
Just sayin' that with the old envelopes over the years I've been a customer I only had *2* that arrived unplayable. I anticipate that number will go up with the new envelopes. |

| Yeah, I've had one envelope arrive all crinkled up so far. The disc was okay, but it sure seems like these envelopes might allow more disc damage. |

| My envelopes have been in OK condition so far, but 2 movies sent last week never arrived, and one went missing on the way back. Hrrrmmm... that kind of M.I.A. thing hasn't happened like this in a long time. |

| Would it be possible for the "lost DVD" system to be automated like quick return? I have also been waiting a week for a shipment from the new processing center. |

This is definitely a feature we'd hope to implement in the future, but for now if you ask support to release a lost DVD from your checked-out list, a new one should arrive the next day unless there's nothing available in your queue.
We're up for a new envelope order soon, so we will definitely go with a thicker paper the next time around. |

Not sure what's going on here. Two movies from last week arrived as the wrong film and both were pronos however. Glad I got the mail instead of my wife.
The first I merely shipped back assuming a mistake. The second I wrote my username on the envelope and Wrong Disk.
I am now back on getting my regularly scheduled movies, but now I'm stuck because I have "OSS 117: Lost In Rio" and "Lights In The Dusk" both stuck permanently in my cue. I wrote to support and they didn't do anything. So now what? |
