How do I tell if a flick is GREEN before I rent it?

I have yet to receive a disc that is not GREEN. I am beginning to believe the wonderful inventory on GC's website is just bait-and-switch.

As things are I have to rent a bunch of discs, see if any are GREEN then delete all that are not. This is not fun, given how excruciatingly slow the website is.

GREEN's tend to be the common, popular movies. I have only received two discs that are not available from NotFlix. Reading others' comments, I don't see anyone getting discs other than GREEN. This diminishes the value of GreenCine's service.

So is there some way to search for GREEN'ies?

Indeed. i was thinking something similar. Perhaps a new category in the Genre menu: Movies That Might Actually Ship Out.

As far as I know, there isn't a way to know if a film is GREEN until you add it to your queue.

You might as well leave films that aren't GREEN in your queue and just order the GREEN ones--having non-GREEN ones before or after them won't really affect anything since the odds are about 98% certain you'll never receive them anyway.

I have 336 films in my queue at this moment...33 of them are GREEN (and 7 of those are Pornos which I only added out of boredom). Since I average receiving about 6 discs per month on the one-rental-at-a-time plan, I figure I have about five months left here at Greencine before I'll have to suspend my membership if I don't start receiving any of the others.

It really is a disservice to subscribers to dangle such a tantalizing selection of films in front of them when it's pretty obvious by now many of them aren't even available for rental.

I keep a bunch of non-green movies at the top of my queue and every once in a while, one gets shipped. This week, I got three non-green ones, but that's unusual.

Just be sure to have some green titles below the 100 mark at all times.

I've got non-green for the first 90 or so movies.

Don't forget turnaround time. If you have another source for movies you want, and they're available there, queue them from that other source. The problem is that if an orange, yellow or blue comes available for shipping from GC but you don't have an open slot, it will go to someone else instead.

I got a blue one! I got a blue one! I'm so happy I wet myself.
