Especially on the return trip back to Greencine. I realize it's perforated like that so it'll make for quicker opening when the DVD arrives back to you, but all that envelope needs is to get caught, or shaken around a bit when it's got a slight tear, and it's goodbye Goodbye, Mr. Chips.

Just wondering if you guys have had that problem on your end.

Funny you mention this- I was about to start a thread about envelope problems. The last two DVDs I have received the return envelope has been puling apart at the top right-hand corner, where the stamp is. The latest one, which had a foam cushion, was especially bad. Did the latest batch of envelopes have glue problems or something?

I've had to tape the edges on several of the envelopes I've sent back just to insure the disc would stay inside.

Thank you for the heads up, we'll bring this up to the envelope people. In the meantime, if you feel like the envelope will fall apart before it reaches us, please reinforce it with tape. Very sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks,

Me, too, exactly, but I didn't have the foam cover on mine. It was just the tyvek sleeve. I've had just one like that, and I taped it. It looked like the glue in that corner was defective. Not sticky at all.

I've experienced this problem as well. Also, I'm worried about residual stickiness from the little round stickers. Can it enable the mailer to be stuck to some other mail and be sent to goodness knows where? (I've had first hand experience of this in other mail.)

Thank you Giselle! I had to do this last week to an envelope myself, for the first time. Not counting when I just changed my mind and decided to watch one again before sending it back.

I've noticed flimsiness in the envelopes also. Glad GGthat you are looking into it.

I've done the same on more than one occasion.

Wow. I thought I was the only one to worry about these things. I also am concerned at times that the round sticker/seals may get stuck to other mail when I mail my disk back. Usually, I try to fold any remaining sticker over so that no sticky pieces are liable to get caught in the mail. And, I have been taping the end of the mailer together since the envelopes have been coming apart.

I've been ripping the stickers off before I send the mailer back just in case. Sometimes I'd tape over them. In the beginning, I would tape all the sides, but I don't do so anymore, just the ones that need it badly.

Thanks for your concern, but I'm not sure that you really need to stress too much about the residual tab stickiness. I don't think we've ever had a mailer come in with a random piece of mail stuck to it, so I doubt it's much of a problem. If there's a really big flap of sticker hanging off, just folding it over should be fine.

(Ideally, the perforation on the sticker should be perfectly aligned with the edge of the envelope .. but ever since the monkeys walked out, things just haven't been the same around here ..)

Yeah, the monkeys are in my new greencine jingle. You gotta bring them back.

I heard that Netflix hired a bunch of Siamyang monkeys for $2 an hour. They are all in a maquiladora in Nuevo Laredo. They smuggle the mail back and forth from a post office on the U.S. side, and it is built on top of an ancient Aztec ruin.

And if you are a lawyer for Netflix, I moved to Sealand.
