I'm feeling rather self-conscious these days about size issues. Namely, that my queue is too long. It's hard to get it to line up comfortably.

I'm just wondering... at 127 items, do I have a problem? Anyone else sure that they'll be watching films until they're old and grey and selling their prescriptions to pay for continued GreenCine membership?

The bigger, the longer, the better, is what I've been told.

Seriously, keep queueing -- helps us with identifying titles to stock/purchase, and it keeps you happy. What's a huge Q between friends?

best--

dennis!

127? Heck, my queue is at 370 today. You have no-thing to worry about! ;-) But yeah, I do wonder where I'll find all the time to watch everything that I want to watch. There's just sooo many interesting things out there...

my queue is pretty big, too, i'm glad it's not the longest here ... i kinda ... i kinda comb through it sometimes, not often, but, well, it's hard to find the right balance ... but if it weren't for stupid anime television shows i'd never make it alive to the end of another dreyer movie. i have the feeling that's how japanese kids feel about their own schoolwork ...

Dear Can it be Too Long?

Truth up: I know the limit on a queue at Netflix, because I've been there. I've had to remove films in order to add more. I keep doing calculations like, "If I see five a week, that's just two years, right? I can do that!"

I also have reviewed over 700 films on that site. Now I wonder if I should start all over with here. (I don't think they have the same sort of "people like you like" engine - but that's OK.) I love this site so far (newer means shorter waits for hot films?), but it's like breaking up with someone with whom you own a lot of stuff - or something....

Just for reference ('cause I too have maxed my queue over at "the other place"), how long can your queue be...or is there a limit?

Right now, one member (whose name I won't mention) has 1233 titles in their queue. Then there are a couple in the 700's, a couple in the 600's...all the way down to more than few in single digits.

So lets all go add the entire twilight zone series so it gets ordered sooner! heheheh

How can someone find 500+ movies they would auctually watch? I have troubles finding 10 of em =P Still love greencine though.

Previously I was downloading all my movies (ooo naughty naughty), I find greencine to be alot less time-consuming with a whole lot less BS to deal with..
Anyways, on the 'scene' lots of people use services like here.. Out of all the talk I've heard, people seem much more satisfied with the service and availability here opposed to Netflix. I personally have only tried netflix for a month but I'm much happier over here.

Anyways, satisfied customer here, keep up the good work =)

I find it a little aggravating that my queue grows faster than the movies can be sent to me. I blame two people:

1. The USPS; It takes 8 days for a movie to get from me (in Denver) to GC and the next on sent back. At this rate I'm only averaging 9 movies a month. I'm definitely going to have to upgrade my membership.

2. The daily recommendation sidebar on the home page; Who comes up with those - they're great! The problem is it requires that I check in every day, and more often than not, I add another title from it to my queue.

It's almost Christmas and I'm *still* watching the horror movies that I added to my queue before Halloween.

for some reason, denver is extremely slow from sf (or any coast). and the man behind the sidebar is GreenCine editor, david hudson. he once told me he actually wakes up in the middle of the night with ideas about those lists. and i've got the same problem -- most i haven't seen and i end up adding them to a list of 600+ films in my queue.

Pathetic, isn't it. But oh so true.

No, seriously, thanks, AKrizman. Coming up with the Daily 5, making sure they're readily available, lacing them with comments, all that is about as much fun as you can have with your clothes on.

That daily list is done by one person? I average one list a month and you come up with one 7 days a week? You never take a day off; you even work at 4:20 AM on a Sunday!

Dude, I was a dwhudson fan ever since I read your article about German expressionist movies of the '20s; but this officially puts you over into idol status.
