Definitely a quality over quantity week (hey, some weeks are the opposite) in the new DVDs, with one really good and/or intriguing title after another. Godard+Criterion, a big graphic novel adaptation, a low-budget indie comedy. stop motion animation and more. Enjoy.

Just your typically quiet post-Holiday week for new releases, but we say when in doubt go for the classics, the docs and the riffing robots.

No summer doldrums today -- some great titles out, including two cult favorites getting the Criterion treatment, a couple of underrated new children's films, anime, a Western and a startling animated documentary decidedly not for kids. Check these out and some of the titles coming soon. Updated weekly.

Not the deepest releasing week ever but some intriguing titles, including possibly Clint's last directorial effort [review here], some international sleepers, Jack Lemmon and Maxwell Smart. More stuff coming soon gets added every week so check here for that, too.
