The Last Winter (2006)
Not Rated
This environmental horror movie couldn't be more timely.. It becomes a bit unfocused, but it does have some really effective scenes of eco-dread.
Safe (1995)
In the 21st century nobody will be...Safe.
The Day After Tomorrow (2004)
Okay, maybe more of an adventure film than a horror film, and not very good to boot.
Them! (1954)
Not Rated
"When Man entered the atomic age, he opened a door into a new world. What we'll eventually find in that new world, nobody can predict. "
Silent Running (1971)
Environmental collapse leads the people of earth to preserve forests in space.
An Inconvenient Truth (2006)
"What we take for granted might not be here for our children."
Soylent Green (1973)
SPOILER: Soylent Red is sun dried tomatoes! Just kidding.
The Birds (1963)
Still a very effective scare fest. I can't imagine the remake being any good.
Frogs (1972)
A lot of eco horror movies seems to be very, very bad.
The Swarm (1978)
Not Rated
"Houston on fire. Will history blame me, or the bees?"
WALL-E (Collector's Edition) (2008)
"Hey there, autopilots. Got some bad news. Um... Operation Cleanup has, well uh, failed. Wouldn't you know, rising toxicity levels have made life unsustainable on Earth."
The Happening (2008)
Run! It's the trees! And the wind!
Princess Mononoke (1997)
"Ugh! I smell like a human."
