There are two essential bathtub scenes in this classic suspense film, one of which apparently inspired Hitchcock to attempt to outdo director Clouzot, resulting in Psycho's famous shower scene.

This low-key haunted house film superbly creates a growing sense of unease--the ghost, a drowned boy, shows up horrifyingly in, yes, the bathtub.

My vote for most disturbing scene in the movie, and possibly of all time. Extra points for working in a that old horror staple, the creepy old woman.

Another horror staple--frightening children--possibly more disturbing than The Shining's twins who just stand around, the main character's daughter drowns her own brother for attention.

Cocaine, Columbians, and a chainsaw. Turn that radio down, you'll bother the neighbors.
	Guinea Pig: Mermaid in a Manhole / He Never Dies (2004)			Not Rated
A man finds a mermaid in the sewer and takes her home...I couldn't watch the whole thing (a problem doubtless encountered by many with stronger stomachs than myself), but "Mermaid" may be the apex of all that is disturbing and bathtub related.

Overall incestual homoerotic undertones aside, no one wants to see Corey Haim naked and singing in the bath.
	Ghostbusters 2 (1989)
It's possible that the bathtub/goo/baby scene is less scary now than when I last saw it at age 9.
	La Femme Nikita (Special Edition) (1990)
A great film, and a truly horrific scene involing a means of getting rid of a body. Yup, in the bathub.

A boy attempts to "fix" his circumcision.

You only get a glimpse of Buffalo Bill's bathroom before the lights go out, but it's plenty.
	Billy Madison (1995)
"Conditioner makes the hair silky and smooth!" Not disturbing, you say? Wait til your friends compulsively reenact it with whatever lies around. Cower.
	Gummo (1997)
A boy eating spaghetti in dirt-brown/black water drops a candy bar into his own filth...then eats it. Yum. (thanks jaimetout)
	What Lies Beneath (2000)
This movie was so manipulative that in the end I was more angry than frightened, but it does practically star a bathtub, which (I must admit, eerily) refills itself.

Yeah, that Harry Nilsson song makes me want to commit suicide too..."I can't lii-ii-iiive, I can't giiiiiiive anymore!"
	Cabin Fever (2002)
A twist on the classic gratuitous horror film nude scene...girl get in bathtub, girl starts to shave her legs, girl takes strips of skin off instead. Doh.
