Description: Brutally horrible genre films that got a lot of attention, but shouldn't

The Dead Next Door (1989)
Not Rated
This got SO much attention in the late '80s and for what? A crappy, back-yard, shot-on-video snoozer that founded JR Bookwalter's SOV empire.
Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991)
Embarrasingly bad with a non-stop cavalcade of stupidity plus Tom Arnold and Rosane Barr... Need I say more?
Nekromantik 2 (1991)
Not Rated
This got a lot of hubub in the underground back in the day, with some people even claiming it surpassed the original in every way. Loaded with gruelingly dull filler and pointless footage of animal slaughter this can't hold a candle to the original.
Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994)
Yay Heather Langencamp is back! Err, so what? This "serious" attempt at a sequel/remake/"true story" is just as cornball as ever that tries to hide it's lack of originality behind a diaphonous facade of the plot gimmik.
Desperado (Special Edition) (1995)
Can you say "sell out"? The superb El Mariachi is followed up with a big budget, brainless, glossy remake that dumps everything that made the first one good.
Scream (1996)
Wes Craven managed to resurrect the horror genre and lay the foundation for some of the worst horror film making in cinema history.
From Dusk Till Dawn (1996)
Gosh, rape sure is funny! Tarantino, the most loathsome hack in the industry decides to invade the horror genre with sell-out extraordinare Rodriguez. Blaxploitation superstar Fred Williamson is completely wasted here.
Halloween H2O (1998)
Flat, boring, plotless, uninspired, insipid, lame and thourougly useless sequel that for some reason the horror newbies ate up with a spoon. Mind boggling.
Strangeland (1998)
Not Rated
Laughable, brainless lameness from a man who intellegently satirized glam rock in the '80s, but now is a joke.
The Blair Witch Project (1999)
The A number 1 most overrated and overhyped horror film EVER. A complete waste of time without a singe redeaming feature that gives new meaning to the old quote "there's one born every minute."
The Convent (2000)
This completely worthless dreck got a huge amount of attention when the US distributor dumped it. Bootlegs sold like hotcakes in winter and damn, did it suck.
Ginger Snaps (2000)
Not Rated
Lame wannabe goth girls get angst-ridden over periods and boys and mope CONSTANTLY. I thought this was supposed to be a werewolf film? What's with that big rat straight out of The Princess Bride?
Hannibal (Disc 1 of 2) (2001)
People went nuts over the "new" Hannibal Lechter movie, they didn't care that the acting was awful, the story was incredibly lame and other than some of the stuff in Italy, it was a complete cash in on Lechter's popularity with nothing else to offer.
The Ring (2002)
Absolutely atrocious remake of the brilliant Japanese film of the same title (but for some reason given the Japanese phonetic pronunciation "ringu" here in the US).
Rob Zombie's House of 1,000 Corpses (2002)
Rip-off a bunch of '70s horror films (and actual dialogue from Manson's real home movies), waste great genre actors, give your squealing biatch a whole mess of screen time and pad out the running time with tons of meaningless music video-style clips...
