Description: As of October 10, I have been a member of GreenCine for 1 year. Here are 10 great movies I'd probably not have seen if not for GreenCine

Die Nibelungen: Siegfried (Disc 1 of 2) (1924)
Not Rated
I saw this and Faust because of the article on German Expressionism. Neither title is available at NetFlix.
Don't Torture a Duckling (1972)
Not Rated
I learned giallo from a member's list which introduced me to this and Suspiria (not available at NetFlix).
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (2000)
With anime threatening to overwhelm the member's lists and discussion boards, it was only a matter of time before I gave in and checked one out. This didn't disappoint; it was visually stunning from the first scene to the last.
Water Drops on Burning Rocks (2000)
Directed by Francois Ozon from an unproduced script by Rainer Werner Fassbinder; I'd never seen a film by either director until GreenCine.
May (2002)
I'd never heard of this movie before, but it got a lot of buzz on the message boards. It's now among my all time favorite horror movies.
Who The Hell Is Juliette? (1997)
Not Rated
I discovered this gem on GreenCine's excellent Best Documentaries list.
Sebastiane (1976)
NetFlix doesn't carry this homoerotic version of the story of St. Sebastian. I had never seen a Derek Jarman movie until a Daily 5 list introduced me to The Tempest.
Happiness of the Katakuris (2001)
Takashi Miike has lots of adoring and devoted fans among GC members. I hadn't even heard of him before.
Not One Less (1999)
I'd heard of China's 'fifth generation' directors, but it wasn't until dpowers (GC's most useful resource) explained it to me that I knew who they were.
Skin & Bone (1996)
OK, maybe this isn't a great movie. But I like that GreenCine has B movie exploitation fare like this and Hustler White that's essentially softcore gay porn that NetFlix won't carry.
