Superman: The Movie (1978)
12345678910
  Paved the way...
Batman: The Movie (1966)
12345678910
You wanted a grim tragic tale of the dark knight, and you get a 'HOLY CAMPY FLICK BATMAN'
Batman (1989)
12345678910
Apparently, everyone seems to love Jack's joker. I did too until I saw the Joker in the short Batman film "Dead End" (which by the way is amazing) Finally set Batman straight. Under Jim Lee right now it is one of the top selling comics too
Blade (1998)
12345678910
The first marvel success in recent years. The reason for the slew of Marvel movies today and I'd like to thank it.
Batman Returns (1992)
12345678910
Oh I liked it, Michelle Pfeiffer will always be Catwoman...ahead of Halle Berry in her upcoming film ugh..she should stick to...
X-Men 1.5 (2000)
12345678910
The X-men..The second step to the Marvel movie revival and I just love it. Get Ultimate X-men, it is an amazing comic..
Spider-Man (2002)
12345678910
The current peak of the Marvel movies..not all i could hope for in a Spider-man movie, but with the given task of reintroducing Spidey to the world, Raimi does a great job. Get Ultimate Spider-man too, my favorite read every month.
Daredevil (2003)
12345678910
Entertaining..I seemed to like this more than everyone else, Farrell made me love every Bullseye scene.
X2: X-Men United (2003)
12345678910
Hard to believe but X-men gets topped by its sequel with the brilliant Bryan Singer addiing everything an X-men fanboy could want. Well except Psylocke and Gambit =p This will be the greatest trilogy ever. That is unless they make more.
Hulk (2003)
12345678910
It's a drama. Slow but amazing. It's not to be looked at as a typical superhero movie, cause The Hulk isn't your typical superhero.
The Punisher (1989)
12345678910
Yeah i watched half of this, and decided that the omission of the trademark skull on his chest is perhaps the funniest and worst mistake made in comic adaptation history. And the movie isn't so great either. High hopes for the new one though.
Flash Gordon (1980)
12345678910
Weird - Ass Sci Fi. That is all.
Fritz the Cat (1972)
12345678910
Not Rated
Crazy I've heard. I need to see this actually. Character created by R. Crumb who...
Crumb (Criterion) (1994)
12345678910
later had a biography directed by Terry Zwigoff who is responsible for the masterpiece that is...
Ghost World (2001)
12345678910
one of my favorite films. Makes me feel cold inside after watching. (In a good way of course) I personally like the comic a lot better for entertainment value, but the movie seemed to have more emotional impact.
Judge Dredd (1995)
12345678910
Yeah a Sylvestor Stallone flop, still i had to acknowledge the fact that it may have been a good idea in the beginning.
Lone Wolf and Cub: Sword of Vengeance (1972)
12345678910
Not Rated
You had to have heard of this by now.. Based on old manga from Japan..spawned several Lone Wolf movies, the American edited (?) Shogun Assassin, new Dark Horse (i think) comic called Lone Wolf 2100, and Road to Perdition.
Road to Perdition (2002)
12345678910
This. Based on the RtP graphic novel, different take in retelling the lone wolf story. Good movie but I can't pass up katanas for tommyguns.
Heavy Metal (1981)
12345678910
Personally I know nothing more than seeing the cover in video stores. Any movie with Blue Oyster Cult and Black Sabbath on the soundtrack has to be good though right?
The Mask (1994)
12345678910
Yes, it was a comic. A horror comic originally. Apparently 3 horror scripts had been written and rejected, until a comedy version was passed in and accepted.
The Rocketeer (1991)
12345678910
Spawn (1997)
12345678910
Michael Jai White! John Leguizamo as a psycho clown! That's all it had going for it.
The Crow (1994)
12345678910
Dark. Brilliant. Tragic. Thanks to Lee and Proyas.
American Splendor (2003)
12345678910
Yeah you've heard the praise. It's four layers conveying the story to you all at once. And it works. Flawlessly.
From Hell (2001)
12345678910
You may have not known this was a graphic novel first..and by the great Alan Moore, writer of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003)
12345678910
Alan Moore again. I liked it, great concept, characters, actors. Something was missing. I'm not sure what yet..
Tank Girl (1995)
12345678910
Haven't seen this one actually, first i hear something good, then i hear something terrible, so im reluctant. Does have Naomi Watts going for it..
Conan the Barbarian (1982)
12345678910
Yup, Marvel gave us Conan in comic form inspiring this stepping stone in Arnold's campaign for Governor..
The Phantom (Disc 1 of 2) (1943)
12345678910
Not Rated
I haven't actually seen these but this is in place for the Phantom Movie made sometime near 1996 with Billy Zane. Popular opinion says it was terrible, but hey nostaligia works.
Josie and the Pussycats (2001)
12345678910
I can't bring myself to watch this, it looks painful. Josie was a good read in Archie comics though..
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie (1990)
12345678910
I love my turtles. The movie is based more on the cartoon rather than the comic, but it seems influenced by its darker qualities. They are making a comeback! Watch the TV Show, Buy the Comics.. The turtles need pizza
