Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969)
The first film to break the traditions of the western genre. Redfords break-out role
The Limey (1999)
After Out of Sight and before Erin Brockovich. Has all the Soderbergh touches: tight editing and good acting.
Black Orpheus (Criterion Collection) (1959)
A beautiful film set in Brazil. Using its music and its people to tell the myth of Orpheus.
The Vanishing (Criterion Collection) (1988)
Not Rated
A bone-chilling tale that will disturb you to the very end.
Next Stop Wonderland (1998)
A smart and well-done indie film that stars Hope Davis. Phillip Seymour Hoffman has a bit role. It has an interesting tone for a romance film -- funny and wistful.
The Celebration (1998)
This out of the Dogma 95 group. Its family reunions at its darkest!
Election (1999)
A satirical, witty and funny film that features great acting by Reese Witherspoon and Matthew Broderick.
Deconstructing Harry (1997)
I adored Manahattan, Annie Hall and Hannah & Her Sisters, but this is my favorite Allen film..
