Oh, why can't we have this idea back? Roddy Piper was just all wrong and John Carpenter plays the dark satirical social themes out as campy sci-fi schlock. Imagine this directed with Aronofsky's flair for paranoia and Shep Fairey on the propaganda signs
	Demonlover (2002)
The look and sound of Demonlover was great, and the concept of following an obsession with online smut to its necessary conclusion was great, but this film didn't hold together enough to make an impact. Intruiging but ultimately empty.
	The Running Man (Widescreen) (1987)
More precient than anyone would have guessed, this film wasn't as bad as it could have been but wasn't as poignant either. Drop the one-liners and the Governator and remake it in post-reality tv America...
	Comic Book Villains (2002)
I'd love to watch a movie about obsessive comic fans deteriorating into sociopaths, but this movie missed the mark on almost every level. Get rid of the stereotypes and the script and re-do this in the vein of Requiem for a Dream--comics are drugs!
	Series 7: The Contenders (2001)
I couldn't even finish this; got about 20 minutes in and the acting and cinematography killed it. Doesn't someone like Soderberg need to remake this--another film where reality tv turns murderous? Or Danny Boyle, done in 28 Days Later style...
	Better Luck Tomorrow (2002)
This wasn't awful, but it went too far probably because someone thought the movie needed some sensational action to keep it going. A look at the meltdown of highly pressured Asian suburban teens without the crime caper would be fantastic.

I kept expecting this to turn into some kind of biting social commentary but it did not. I'd like to see the idea revisited without the forced David Lynch-ian characters and without the moral ambiguity.
	Comic Book: The Movie (2004)
Another comic movie gone wrong. This labor of love from Mark Hamill squanders a potentially funny concept with the mockumentary format and bad on-screen talent. Make a straight up comic-con documentary ala "Trekkies" or let Kevin Smith direct.
