Funny, cute, campy, kitschy and real-feeling at the same time. Great acting all the way around and an interesting coming of age romp.
	The Truth About Jane (2001)
Stockard Channing plays the mother of a daughter coming to terms with her sexuality. Your classic "Yikes, my daughter is a lesbian film." Unbearably sappy at times, moving at others (think of the "Lifetime" channel)...worth renting however..
	Go Fish (1994)
I hated this movie but this is a list of lesbian films so there ya have it.
	The Sex Monster (1999)
Cute. Laughed out loud at some parts. Husband and wife couple decide to have a threesome and the wife starts enjoying women a little too much. Kind of ridiculous but cute in an odd way.
	Lost and Delirious (2001)
Sexy, tragic and heartwarming. Those of you who went to private school will appreciate this film.
	The Monkey's Mask (2000)
Hollywood takes on sapphistry. A typical blockbuster film but nothing to write home about.
	Aimee & Jaguar (1999)
One of my favorites. Based on a true story. Extremely moving and heartbreaking tale of soulmates torn apart. Get thee a box of tissues for this one.
	The Color Purple (1985)
Another favorite. How could any breathing being not enjoy this film? Prominent lesbian background story happening here. Very real, honest and gripping film.
	Bar Girls (1994)
I did not like this film either but I had to put it on this list. It was very stereotypical and boring honestly.
	Show Me Love (1998)
This is one of the few that I haven't seen. I have heard good things about it however.
	Times Square (1980)
FABULOUS film about two runaway teens trying to become rock stars in NYC during the eighties. There is some very obvious butch/femme realness in this film. The actress who plays Nicki is phenomenal and her acting is worth watching this film twice. A+++!
	Bagdad Cafe (1987)
Great film with an oh so subtle lesbian vibe happening.

Some great vignettes here. Follows a timeline from the 60's to present that illustrates the progression of gay/lesbian rights.

This was an ok movie but nothing to write home about.
	Thelma & Louise (1991)
Ok maybe there is a subtle lesbian thing happening between them...I like to think so anyway.
	Better Than Chocolate (1999)
One of the best lesbian love story films to hit the screen in quite some time. One of those movies you'll want to own.
	It's In The Water (1997)
Very stereotypical and ridiculous. I don't know what else to say. Maybe if you are overtired and really bored you'll be able to pull out an iota of camp value from this.

Big Hollywood does lesbianism again. Steamy but somehow shallow and unfulfilling.
	Jaded (1996)
Weird, hard to find film that deals with woman-on-woman rape. Very disturbing but riveting none-the-less. Probably the only film that touches on such a subject.
	Bound (1996)
One of the best! Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilly will make your DVD player melt! One of the best....mafia, suspense and lesbianism in one.
	Boys on the Side (1995)
Whoopi Goldberg's character is a lesbian in this film and the lesbian subtext weaves it's way throughout the film. It is a touching movie all the way around. A tear jerker too. :(

A very good film. Touches on the supermodels affairs with women. Cinematically good but really distorts the facts of Gia's life. Not very fact based.

One of my favorite films. HUGE lesbian undertones coupled up with complete psychosis and moving clay figures....a must rent.

Twisted tale of sisterly love. Based on a true story. Another great film.

Not specifically lesbian but deals with gender. Beautifully filmed, amazing soundtrack. This film is so compelling. I own it and watch it at least once a year. Made everyone I know see it....all loved it equally.
	Things You Can Tell Just by Looking at Her (2000)
This film is a great film all the way around. Comprised of vignettes. One of the vignettes features a very heartbreaking, tear inducing story of a lesbian couple.
