quite arguably the quintessential woody allen movie. as funny as it is poignant.
	Bananas (1971)
one of woody's best comedies. an excellent mix of slapstick and political satire.
	Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989)
one of his headier films, martin landau ruminates about death and morality.
	Hannah and Her Sisters (1986)
an excellent film about the nature of relationships.
	Zelig (1983)
woody allen's second movie to mimic documentary style, this comedy is also one of his best.
	Bullets Over Broadway (1994)
an excellent comedy that examines what it means to be an artist, and pokes fun at artistic pretention.
	Sweet and Lowdown (1999)
often overlooked, this is a story of an egotistical jazz musician played excellently by sean penn.
	Deconstructing Harry (1997)
utterly fantastic. look out for robin williams as the blurry guy (you'll see what i mean).
	Manhattan Murder Mystery (1993)
a neighbor dies, and diane keaton believes it to be murder. shows how life can imitate art, and make us laugh as well.
	Sleeper (1973)
woody allen wakes up in the future after being preserved in aluminum foil, hilarity ensues. a comedy that is a close second to bananas.
