Tied for my favorite movie of 2003. Amazing film about tragedy,revenge, and redemption. Del Toro's performance is nothing short of amazing here. Also, try Amorres Perros by the same director.
	Requiem for a Dream (2000)			Not Rated
Man, this one's just powerful. It knocked me for a loop. Depressing addiction movie. Arronofsky's direction is flawless as is Elen Burysten's BRILLIANT performance. Should've got an Oscar but was screwed because Julia Roberts was nominated ::sigh::
	The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Ultimate Edition) (1974)
Horror is a guilty pleasure of mine, and it just doesn't get better than this. Gritty, documentary style shooting make you feel like you're witnessing a murder rather than watching a film. The so called "dinner scene" freaks me out every time!
	Dancer in the Dark (2000)
This is a place holder for Dogville (why doesn't GC have the R0 Korean release?). Tied with 21 Grams for my best of 2003. Movie is ultimately about the universal struggle between vengeance and forgiveness.
	Goodfellas (1990)
On of the best gangster movies around. Pesci, Liotta, Deniro and a great, true story. How can you go wrong with that. Amazing film.
	The Godfather (1972)
The gangster film to end all gangster films. Don't think I need to say much more about this classic.
	The Godfather II (Disc 1 of 2) (1974)
My personal favorite of the Godfather series. Another classic that needs no further words.
	Full Metal Jacket (1987)
The best war film ever made. Forget Saving Private Ryan, that movie assualts your senses with nonstop violence, but doesn't truly succeed in showing the psychological side of the horrors of war, like this film. One of Kubrick's greatest.
	Kill Bill vol.1 (2003)
Yes, it's true, I'm a Tarantino fanboy and Kill Bill is my favorite of his movie. I'm using this to represent both Vol. Tatantino pays great homage to his favorite kung-fu flicks and spaghetti westerns, in the mean time creating a brilliant revenge story
	Pulp Fiction (1994)
Like I said, Tarantino fanboy all the way, so it's obvious this list would include this amazing film. A combination of three stories that all tie in together and make up one of the best modern crime movies around.
	Reservoir Dogs (Widescreen) (1992)
Same deal, one of the best crime movies out there. Great cast, great dialogue-driven story, and great characters.
	True Romance: Unrated Director's Cut (1993)			Not Rated
This movie blew me away completely. The amazing cast, Tony Scott's masterful direction of an awesome Tarantino script, and the Dennis Hopper speech about how "Sicilians are spawned from n*****s"

My first introduction into the world of Takashi Miike, AKA the best damn Japanese director around. Click rent, do not read a synopsis, a review or anything that will give you details about the film. Just watch it, and be patient.
	Happiness of the Katakuris (2001)
Another great Miike film involving claymation, Von-Trapp like singing, and mysterious deaths in a bed and breakfast. Absolutely hilarious, a must see.

Miike proves just how far he is willing to push the envelope in this shocker. Name a taboo and it's probably in here. Necrophelia, incest, excessive lactation, it's all here. An amazing film that parodies the reality TV wave.

Another great Miike flick,. A Yakuza masterpiece. No doubt this movie is overrated by some, but still one of my favorite gangster movies around.
	Interview with the Vampire (1994)
This movie reinvinted vampires for me. It made them interesting. To this day it remains one of the only vampire movies I like
	One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975)
An absolute classic. Have yet to read the book, but plan on it.
	A Clockwork Orange (1971)
This is tied with Dr. Strangelove for best Kubrick film. The book is much better, but this film captures the ideas perfectly. A true classic with much social commentary about the nature of crime and punishment
	Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964)
Another Kubrick classic. This movie is hilarious in that offbeat, dark comedy sorta way. I freakin love it!
	Irreversible (2002)			Not Rated
Most rape-revenge movies are cheesy and campy, this is one of the first I've seen to take it's subject matter totally seriously, and man is it brutal. Not for those with a weak stomach.
	Blue Velvet (1986)
This film is just plain crazy! Not as much as Lynch's overrated "Eraserhead" (this one actually makes sense) but it's still out there. Dennis Hopper plays one of the most memorable villains ever portrayed on the big screen.
	Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (Criterion Collection) (1998)
Hilarious movie based on Hunter S. Thompson's book by the name. Throughout the whole movie the characters are tripping on one drug or another. Amazing performances by Depp and Del Toro.
	Monty Python's The Meaning of Life (1983)
One of the funniest movies ever made. PERIOD.
	Monty Python and the Holy Grail (Collector's Edition) (1974)
See above.
	Clerks (1994)
Hilarious comedy about a day in the life of two clerks (one in a convient store, the other in a movie rental store) with no other story than just what's happening in their lives at the time. One of the best comedies ever and easily Smith's best film.
