A gleefully-dark, Texas-style nail biter.
	The Spanish Prisoner (1997)
Perhaps David Mamet's film most heavily influenced by Hitch.
	The Usual Suspects (1995)
One of the great films of the mid-90s, with the ellusive Kaiser Soze daring you to identify him any time before the last 5 minutes.
	Shallow Grave (Criterion) (1994)
Grim, gritty black comedy. Abounds with obsession, paranoia, and visual panache.
	Red Rock West (1993)
A virtuous but down-on-his-luck stranger stumbles into a town that's ready to give him hell and then some.
	The Trigger Effect (1996)
This and 'Apartment Zero' are the two David Koepp projects that I love to recommend. Great paranoid suspence.
	Misery (1990)
An obsessive little story with that 'Rear Window' panic you have to feel for disabled people in deep sh*t.
	Raising Cain (1992)
Possibly Brian De Palma's most absurd Hitchcock pastiche... But that somehow helps--it's so bad it's good! And John Lithgow brings his weird genius to the party.
