Que Viva Mexico! (1932)
12345678910
Not Rated
A classic. One of the best intended movies ever. Einsestein's film language is clearly expressed in these sequences. I only can imagine what this movie could be if finished.
Macario (1960)
12345678910
El ahijado de la muerte. I love this movie. Based on one Traven's story, it shows how mexicans see death (the god mother!)
Cuentos de Hadas Para Dormir Cocodrilos (2002)
12345678910
Not Rated
Lot of awards in Mexico. Good story line. The best is the poor coyote and the lack of dreams of the main character.
Sin Dejar Huella (Without A Trace) (2000)
12345678910
Not Rated
Excellent landscape and scenery. I am sure you will enjoy if you like 'Y tu mama tambien'
Calzonzin Inspector (1973)
12345678910
Not Rated
oh, oh!!! taken from Mexican comics banned by the government in the 60's called 'Los supermachos' . It is a satire of the Mexican society and politics.
Santitos (1999)
12345678910
From the beautiful town of Tlacotalpan to LA... I liked this movie because it shows the mixture of faith, tradition and force that many people from the mexican country side still have.
The Crime of Father Amaro (2002)
12345678910
New mexican film. It seems to me like a elaborated soup opera. Anyways, it has lots of details and it's well done.
Frida: Naturaleza Viva (1984)
12345678910
The Mexican version of Frida's life. Ofelia Medina is a great actress and has a good performance here.
La Ley De Herodes (2000)
12345678910
Hilarious! It is a great satire of the Mexican politics. A must see.
Like Water for Chocolate (1993)
12345678910
Delicious movie! This is a very traditional view of the mexican life in the dawn of the last century.
Y Tu Mama Tambien (2001)
12345678910
Not Rated
Funny. I recommend you to concentrate in the context and background of the movie... many stories and details are crossing and interlinked without noticing.
Cabeza De Vaca (1991)
12345678910
Not Rated
Based on the memories of Cabeza de Vaca when he was looking for 'El dorado', this movie shows a magic and complex new world for the conquerors.
Cilantro Y Perejil (1997)
12345678910
Funny and Hilarious. This is one of the 'New Mexican Films' trend in the 90's.
La Mujer Del Puerto (1934)
12345678910
Not Rated
it's a classic. Old but good.
The Monsters [Santo y Blue Demon contra los monstruos] (1968)
12345678910
I liked this movie, good if you like trash movies. Watching this movie is like entering in a different world where everything is possible. 100% surrealism.
Sergei Eisenstein - Mexican Fantasy (1998)
12345678910
Not Rated
Just like 'Que viva Mexico'... it is dense, but the photography and intention is outstanding. You will see how wild Mexico can be.
Todo El Poder (1999)
12345678910
Tired of abuse and corruption... I guess, this movie shows in part the impotence that many mexicans have againts crime.
