Description: Cyborg transformation movies (There are probably some anime titles that I forgot)

Robocop (20th Anniversary Edition) (1987)
12345678910
One of my favorite movies of any kind. Ken Russell called it "The greatest science fiction film since Metropolis". [It's too bad that GC doesn't carry the OOP unrated Criterion disc :( ] Don't bother with the sequels.
Full Metal Yakuza (1997)
12345678910
Not Rated
Fun Takashi Miike V-cinema parody of/homage to the above film.
Tetsuo: The Iron Man (1989)
12345678910
Not Rated
Hyperkinetic low-budget cyborg horror movie, and the first feature film by Shinya Tsukamoto, who has since acted in a couple of Miike films.
Tetsuo II: Bodyhammer (1992)
12345678910
Not as good as its predecessor, but worth seeing for Tsukamoto fans.
Tokyo Fist (1995)
12345678910
Not Rated
The tranformation in this film is an internal one, but I feel that it's very thematically simlar to the Tetsuo films. Tsukamoto's real-life brother co-stars.
Videodrome (1982)
12345678910
Not Rated
"Long live the new flesh!" A probable influence on Tetsuo The Ironman. [A Criterion Videodrome disc is on the way!]
Crash (1996)
12345678910
Not Rated
Again, the transformation in this film more internal, but I feel like it covers similar territory
Taxi Driver (1976)
12345678910
An influence on some of the above films? (Tsukamoto and Cronenberg are fans)
Robotrix (2000)
12345678910
Not Rated
Silly rabbit, Robotrix are for kids! (Sorry, couldn't resist!) I've never actually seen this one. See also: The Super Inframan (available as an R3 import)
Casshan: Robot Hunter (1995)
12345678910
Not Rated
  Placeholder for Casshern (2004)
Steel (1997)
12345678910
The inspiration for Bibleman's costume design? :) Unseen by me. (Incidentally, it was shot by the same DP as Videodrome and Robocop 2)
Inspector Gadget (1999)
12345678910
I just wanted to put this on the same list as Miike and Cronenberg movies. Also unseen by me (the same goes for the V-cinema "cheaquel" to this film)
Army of Darkness (Director's Cut) (1992)
12345678910
Not Rated
Not exactly a cyborg movie, but I like Ash's groovy robot hand.
