Swimming Pool (2003)
| All of these films are worth seeing. If you haven't seen one and it looks interesting, leave a surprise - just rent it, w/o clicking the description... This twist drove me up the wall but its got great characters and some well written moments |

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not (2002)
| Really fun and smartly written. The second half makes you look at the first half in a completely different way. Audrey Tautou is perfectly cast. |

| A good thriller about race and identity. |

Hero (2002)
| Hero has a couple of twists and beautiful cinematography by Chris Doyle. Agree or disagree with the twists and with the end (I thought it was, ahem, fascist, but lots of people see it differently) - like all of these, it's a great movie to talk about. |

Lost Highway (1997)

| Who's this guy? So, wait, who is she? Creepy and thoughtful movie about what we really know about ourselves and each other. A mindblowing twist. Also check out Mulholland Drive. |
Fight Club (1999)
| We hardly knew you... not for the squeemish, but underneath the obvious, fight club is about anti-materialism and alienation. I'm not sure I liked the main twist when I saw it, but it really goes with the themes of the film. |

The Village (2004)
| Ok, so the dialogue sounds like a bad high school play - the twist is great. The Village really is a lot of fun to watch, yell at, and then talk about. |

Fat Girl (Criterion Collection) (2001)
| A tough, dark, powerful film about an overlooked girl coming of age. The shift in narrative during the last 20 minutes is totally unexpected but not unrelated from what was developed before - a surfacing. |
Bad Education (2004)
| So he's ... oh. A couple of twists in this one, it's also a great film. Betrayal leads to betrayal leads to betrayal - a look at how people learn to use each other. |

| We hardly knew you... Bizarre, great, and possibly gross film. How media has diffused and extended our sense of reality and how far we'll go to pursue sensation. And where else will you see a great actor make out wth a TV? |

| So that's where he was... A fun, surreal take on yakuza. It would make a perfect double feature following another yakuza film, Sympathy for the Underdog |
The Wicker Man (Extended Version) (1974)
| Rational vs Irrational. The beautiful, eerie, soundtrack and images complement and build on each other. Christopher Lee is terrific. |
The Prestige (2006)

| Excellent film about obsession. The magic happens in front of you but, even if you catch it, the themes and acting are strong enough to make this a great film. |
