My least favorite of Verhoeven's future satire trilogy, but it's still a wonderful picture.
	Planet of the Apes (1968)
The apes ... like us, only prone to violence and political in-fighting.
	Starship Troopers (1997)
Possibly the greatest popcorn film of the 90's. This one plays it with such a straight face that if you miss the wink you'll think you've been indoctrinated into the Hitler youth. Trust me, there's a wink.
	Soylent Green (1973)
I could go for some Soylent Green right now. I'll eat it while I sit on my "furniture". (And how about Eddie G. in this picture, huh? Great stuff.)
	They Live (1988)
The movie that explains the mystery behind W's 52 million votes. An under-seen masterpiece.
	I, Robot (2004)
A rare pleasant surprise from Hollywood. No particular reason for this to be good, but it's solidly professional, in my opinion, on every level. As action, as satire, as a movie to make you go "hmm ..."
	The Running Man (Widescreen) (1987)
Anticipated the reality craze by about a decade. A masterpiece of satire.
	Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985)
This is either satire, or Australia is really like that. Not sure.
	Demolition Man (1993)
Missed this one? See it. Thank me later.
	Rollerball (1975)
Avoid the dopey remake.
	The Sixth Day (2000)
Sorry -- one mediocre-ish entry in the list. I had to include it for the sex holograms (and since there was no way I could include Cherry 2000 ...) But it ain't awful -- you probably know if it's your type of movie. If it is, don't be afraid ...

And what the heck. After you've watched these satires, cleanse your palate with some parody of a futuristic satire.
