Swordfish (2001)
A fusion of action, drama and broken storytelling featuring a hacker as the main character. Cops, robbers, computer geeks and Halle Berry make a good mix for a very flashy movie w/a healthy # of plot-twists. You're either going to like it, or hate it.
Basic (2003)
You think you know what genre it belongs in, right up until you see it. A good pick for those who don't mind slightly (but NOT overly) lawyer-esque military movies.
The Italian Job (2003)
Very solid cast of skilled, not-overly popular actors. Pleasant if you want to think, entertaining if you don't. Some find it predictable, but plot twists weren't really the point of this one. It's just cool seeing it all come together in the end.
Equilibrium (2002)
Don't have to be too much of a think-tank to enjoy this one, but A LOT of thought went into it. One of the first movies I ever saw where the characters didn't simply point-gun and pull-trigger (as is typical in action movies). Stunning choreography.
