The Man Who Fell to Earth (Criterion Collection) (1976)
Really good film, Bowie is damned convincing as an alien. Bowie's first movie.
Labyrinth (1986)
Great movie, though Bowie is one of the best things about it.
The Hunger (1983)
Very good vampire movie with some nice lesbian scenes. Bowie dies too quickly, wish they had included some of the cut flashback scenes.
B.U.S.T.E.D. (1998)
Very violent, interesting gang film. Wonderful accents. Bowie portrays a gay character [though this is not over stated] who is closely connected to the gang.
The Last Temptation of Christ (Criterion Collection) (1988)
Great movie, Bowie has a small role as Pontius Pilate.
Mr. Rice's Secret (2000)
Very quiet, subtle Canadian film about life. Bowie, while central, has very little screen time as he dies early on.
Basquiat (1996)
While there are some issues with the film itself, Bowie's performance of Warhol is spot on and must be seen.
Absolute Beginners (1986)
Quite cute and in some ways very surreal. Very different. Has some good scenes, great soundtrack, interesting overall.
Christiane F. (1982)
Very dark movie, Bowie plays himself, performing a concert.
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992)
Good prequel, very surreal, Bowie has a small bit as a hitman.
Zoolander (2001)
Very cute movie, with a fabulous Bowie bit.
David Bowie - Best Of Bowie (Disc 1 of 2) (2002)
Purrrr. A must see. Great release.
The Concert for New York City (Disc 1 of 2) (2001)
Awe inspiring and awesome, Bowie opens this concert in true haunting fashion. But wtf is up with the first disc being unavailable?
VH1 Storytellers: Classics (2001)
Not Rated
Very nice session with Bowie performing and speaking.
Inspirations (1997)
Get to watch Bowie practice with his band. Good stuff.
Ziggy Stardust & the Spiders from Mars (1983)
Not the best quality film, but great for what it is.
Nomi Song (2003)
Not Rated
Some great footage from SNL of Bowie performing in 1980.
Saturday Night Live - 25 Years of Laughs (1999)
Not Rated
Very surreal footage of Bowie performing from 1980.
The Best of Tina Turner - Celebrate! (2000)
Not Rated
I'll admit to not being the hugest Turner fan, but there's some worthwhile film here. The scenes with Bowie are amusing as he clearly dotes on her and during one song a fan runs onstage, grabs, and kisses Bowie, before being dragged off. Watch for both Bowie and Turner's reactions.
The Mayor of the Sunset Strip (2003)
Interesting biography, with Bowie as a commentator.
The Hunger: Strange Bedfellows (1997)
Bowie hosted Season 2 of The Hunger and starred in a few episodes.
The Hunger: Web of Desires (1997)
Bowie hosted Season 2 of The Hunger and starred in a few episodes.
Hunger: Wetwork (1997)
Bowie hosted Season 2 of The Hunger and starred in a few episodes.
The Hunger: Creature Comforts (1997)
Bowie hosted Season 2 of The Hunger and starred in a few episodes.
