Thankfully, I haven't crossed the line where my frustrations have become self-destructive (or in some cases, destructive to others).

Lots of people don't realize that there has been a remake of "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington". This is it... Billy Jack seeks justice through our institutions of law. Well, it's better than a kick in the groin. Or is it? God help me I really like this movie!!

AT-TI-CA! AT-TI-CA! Police brutality was not really Sonny Wojtowicz's motive to rob a bank, but he was a Vietnam vet who couldn't get a decent job, and he robbed for the greatest cause of all: love.
	I Shot Andy Warhol (1996)
Some males who suffer years of sexual abuse become sexual abusers; some women who suffer years of sexual abuse become man-haters. This film about the latter makes me understand Valerie Solanas' anger even though it ends up generally - and tragically - misdirected.

Speaking of sexual abuse... geez, if I had been used and abused like Aileen Wuornos had, perhaps I'd be as loco and violent as she became. It's too scary to think about!

The stubborn idealism of singer-songwriter Anton Newcombe has kept The Brian Jonestown Massacre from hitting it big, but I'm in the camp that thinks that's a GOOD thing! I admire Anton's defiance and music but I do have to admit, the guy's wired a tad too tight!

Speaking of being wired too tight! Here's someone I would not have wanted to run into on one of his bad days. He seems to be the only person who channels Jesus as a sadist, but you gotta love his acting!

He fought the system and lost his court cases and ultimately, his sanity and his life. If only he'd hung on a little longer.

The price you pay for matching the beauty and ferocity of nature is madness. This TV-play by Altman is quite good, but urge GC to carry Paul Cox's incredibly beautiful and masterful "Vincent"!

"I believe in a long prolonged derangement of the senses to attain the unknown". I do too Jim, but not ETERNAL derangement of the senses! Another idealistic visionary bites the dust. Damn!
	Harold and Maude (Criterion) (1971)
This May-December (make that March-December!) romance should give all who believe in unrequited love and bucking the system a little hope that there is something worth living for - even if it's just wonderful zany movies like this one.
