This was quite simply wretched, West, in her 80's, spouting off risque one liners is a gruesome sight for anyone. The fact that Tony Curtis, Ringo Starr, a young Timothy Dalton and.....Alice Cooper are along for the ride makes it just plain weird. This flick is to be watched by ALL actresses who think they can fool Father Time. You can't. Get over it, grow old gracefully and move on. Oddly enough, West fans thronged the premier of this pic, and made it a modest hit, it has moments, but it's clear that it was for her own vanity to make this thing.

As a longtime Christie fan, I've seen all the versions of this, and none even come close to this one, the story is fairly true to the original (why the characters were renamed and have different nationalities is beyond me), but this one crackles with tension and suspicion as they all suspect each other, or most agree on a suspect only to have them turn up as the next corpse! Great performances from a bunch of stellar character actors all make for a classic for the ages and a great direction job by Rene Clair. NOT TO BE MISSED!!!
