Synopsis
Written and directed by Kerry Douglas Dye, Ultrachrist! is an irreverent independent comedy following the events of the second coming of Christ. When Jesus Christ (Jonathan C. Green) returns to 21st century Earth, he finds things woefully different from when he left. Unable to get his message across with his old-school tactics, Christ dons a spandex costume and takes to the streets to battle sin as a holy-rolling superhero called Ultrachrist. Unfortunately for him, his father doesn't approve of the unorthodox methods. Worse still, Christ has to deal with his nemesis, The Antichrist, as well as a beautiful seductress. Ultrachrist! also stars Celia Montgomery and Samuel Bruce Campbell. ~ Matthew Tobey, All Movie Guide

Silly, but hilarious in places by NHarlow August 2, 2004 - 6:46 PM PDT

If you enjoy making fun of organized religion, this is a great little chuckle. Not quite as cleverly conceived as Monty Python's Life of Brian, but amusing nonetheless. I'd say its target audience is the average 25-year-old, so don't look for a great deal of sophistication. But hell, who needs sophistication ALL the time? A little irreverence can do the soul good.
