THE FIGHTING WESTERNER (1935): Randolph Scott plays a government agent sent to a western radium mine to investigate several mysterious deaths. This movie based on a Zane Grey story follows the traditions of the great buckaroos with plenty of action and romance. BOOTS AND SADDLES (1937): A young man from England inherits a vast ranch run by Gene Autry and his sidekicks. The boy's father owes money to a dastardly character who decides the time is ripe to steal the ranch. Autry and the boys are called upon to save the day for the lad. Plenty of flying fists, blazing six-guns, and cowboy songs in this terrific buckaroo.
