1600 MLK: THE STATE OF THE UNION takes place on the streets of Harlem, NY and centers around a crew of four; G-Money (The Leader of His Block & Territory), Ten (Chief of Hood Security & G-Money's Right Hand Man), Rob (The Ears & Eyes of The Hood), and Condeisha (The Highest Ranking Chick on the Block). These prominent 'Hoodfellas' run what is known around these parts as Sugar Hill. On this particular day, word on the street has trickled down to G-Money's Crew that the OTHER big man in the hood, Dam, one of Harlem's Most Notorious Gangsters, is secretly plotting a hit on G-Money's Territory. Word is, Dam is snatching up burners, techs, and glocks throughout the hood and will inevitably use them against G-Money and his crew. Sensing immediate danger, G-Money's crew puts the pressure on him to react, but it's not that easy. You see, G-Money cannot make a move on Dam without approval from the hood council. And there is one problem. There is NO concrete evidence that Dam is even thinking about any pistols let alone a jack knife! The Block is Hot. And the tension mounts every day. Will Dam get his hands on enough weapons to do major damage to G-Money's? Will G-Money get approval to attack before being attacked! In the public's eye, these figures embody endless Power & Prestige. This is an inside look at what goes on behind the scenes on Sugar Hill. And it's just another day at 1600 MLK!

| Alright check it, on some real shit this flick was a big metaphor for 9/11 and all the events leading up to Saddam's capture. I knew it from the jump when all of the characters were introduced in quotations between the names of who they were supposed to portray in the global scheme of things. This film was ingenius in a real hood sort of way. You got to read in between the lines, man. |

| yo this film is off the chain some of these actors are they in known films the dude who played ten played the hell out of that part i was deffinetly feelin his character and dom that dude he was off the chain and the anchor guy LOL!!!!! he was funny i saw another film the director did knowing richard black he is deff on the come up |
